Graffiti Time
There's a lot of debate about whether graffiti should be considered legal or if it should be classified as an official art form, but it has led to games like Graffiti Time. You are Cap, an alien that has descended to Earth after seeing a sign calling for more Grafitti. Being a living cap of spray paint, Cap decides to fulfill the request by landing and going on a graffiti rampage across various urban environments. However, the futuristic security forces don't seem to like the idea of graffiti and will be working to hunt him down. The caps are coming off!
About Graffiti Time
Many games like to place you in the role of colorful characters that are rebelling against the main in artsy ways. In this game, you're fighting back with the power of street art and extraterrestrial assistance. You'll be platforming around the different parts of cities to find the best spots to leave your mark all the while trying to stay ahead of security. You'll need to slow down at points and plan your moves so that you don't set off any alarms. Cap may be an alien, but he's still restricted by Earth laws and authority that will be his main contenders.
How to Play
Graffiti Time is a 2D platforming game about an alien going around spray-painting things using just the keyboard.
Controls
- Up Arrow - Jump (hold to Boost and Hover)
- Down Arrow - Duck (on Skateboard)
- Left Arrow - Go Left
- Right Arrow - Go Right
- C - Tag
The goal of the game is to tag all the sites in the level with Cap's signature. The number of places left to tag and the level timer are both tracked at the top of the screen. Once all the spots are tagged, keys will appear and the big spray-paint can open and Cap can escape. If he gets caught by security, he'll need to redo the level.
Each level starts Cap off in a random part of the city. From there, he has to run and jump to find the different tagging spots. Security robots will patrol and won't bother Cap if he's not tagging anything. If he is or has tagged everything in the level, the robots will become hostile and Cap will need to stay out of their field of vision. Cap can also put stickers on certain objects for extra flair and collect cash to unlock new tag styles as well as golden spray-paint cans. He can also find a skateboard that will give him a speed boost while he's on it.
Tips and Tricks
This is a very slow-paced platformer that is more about positioning rather than speed. You need to navigate the different floors and buildings to reach the signs and cars for tagging. The patrolling robots are more dangerous than the flyers since they can block Cap's path.
