Racing in City
A car is one of the biggest purchases a person can make and one of the most common ways to show off wealth but Racing In City shows us the challenge of driving such a machine in the city. When you do buy a car, it's typically because you need it to get from one place to another consistently. In this virtual city, you've taken up a career in racing through the busy streets of some unknown city where you can race yourself or any other daredevils who feel the same way as you do. After all, what's the point of sinking so much money into a fast car if you aren't going to use it to go fast?
About Racing In City
The idea of racing games taking place in populated areas is nothing new but that doesn't mean that we aren't still interested. This game takes a toned-downed simulator type of approach as you get behind the wheel. The thing is that it works well with the driving being pretty smooth and the movement being quite responsive. Even though there is such a thing as going on a relaxing drive, this game manages to be a relaxing drive whether or not you're actually competing for anything. Go for the objectives or not and you still have a good chance of enjoying a casual ride.
How to Play
Racing In City is a 3D first-person driving game about racing through the city using the mouse and keyboard.
Controls
- W/Up Arrow - Accelerate
- S/Down Arrow - Slow down/brake
- A/Left Arrow - Turn Left
- D/Right Arrow - Turn Right
- Shift - Slow Time
The game has multiple modes, but the goal is to complete the objectives that each drive presents you. Once you complete the listed objectives, you'll be rewarded and can move on to the next challenge. If you fail to complete the objective or if you crash into another car, you'll need to start the challenge over. The rewards you gain can be used on the main screen to customize and upgrade your cars or buy new models.
After selecting your car, you'll get the chance to select what kind of drive you'd like to take. After you do, you'll receive an objective to complete. The drive will begin spawning you on a long road behind the wheel of your car. Your car has a base speed that it will always default to when you're not driving so that you don't run the risk of getting hit from behind. At any point, you can start speeding up and weaving through traffic as the cars appear ahead of you. Depending on the objective, a progress bar will appear at the top. When it fills up, the objective will be complete. You'll also earn points as you drive faster and maintain top speed as indicated in the top left corner. A higher score will earn you additional rewards.
Your main reward is coins which can be earned from completing objectives, daily logins, watching videos, and sharing the game on various social media. The most expensive purchases are new cars with the lowest price starting at 25,000. Upgrades and customization cost less with their prices starting at 3,000 and 1,000 respectively.
Tips and Tricks
The gameplay is almost reminiscent of a rhythm game and you need to get into a sense of flow. As you approach the traffic, try to look several cars ahead so that you can draw a clear path to weave the car along. If cars start to group together, slow down and collect your thoughts. Also, spend your first earnings so that you can fully master your first car and earn more coins down the line.
